Follow up on first order from VDL Group

Valk Welding has acquired a new order for the supply of welding robot systems to two subsidiaries of the VDL Group.

The VDL Group is specialized in the development, production and sale of semi-finished products, buses and other end products and the assembly of passenger cars. In total, 87 subsidiaries spread over 19 countries and approximately 10,400 employees are part of this family business. Valk Welding is a welding robot integrator, and from their own subsidiaries active in multiple European countries and even outside of Europe. With the installation of more than 2500 Panasonic welding robot systems Valk Welding is one of the largest robot integrators and independent supplier of welding wire in Europe. Valk Welding has subsidiaries with local employees in NL, BE, CZ, DJ, FR, PL en DE in which 115 employees are active. With this setting Valk Welding is covering the complete northern area of Europe with sales and after sales support.

Last year Valk Welding delivered a welding robot installation to VDL containersystemen at Hapert, Netherlands. Because of the good experience, and the offline programming solution which gave the final push, Valk Welding is now delivering two multi- functional welding robot systems to VDL bus Modules at Valkenswaard and VDL Staalservice at Weert. The delivery contains Panasonic Welding robots on a E-Frame construction in a single and double version. VDL bus modules is going to weld sub components for busses with the new installation.

The installed welding robot at Hapert is being used fulltime for the welding of AGV’s (Automatic Guided Vehicle’s). Click here for a unique look at this process.
