Welding helmet with battery-driven fresh air unit
Speedglas welding helmets from the 9002/9000 series can be provided with the Adflo fresh air system. This system is autonomous, giving the welder maximum freedom of movement. The battery-driven unit sucks air from the environment, filters the air and blows it in the helmet. Due to this slight overpressure in the helmet, welding smoke cannot enter the helmet.
The Adflo system has a protection factor of 50, meaning that the air that is inhaled is 50 x cleaner than when working with a normal helmet.
