Fanuc M-16iB/20T

For machine operation

The M-16iB is a modular electric servo-driven robot with six axes, designed for a broad range of industrial applications. With its simple and reliable construction, the M-16iB allows sophisticated movement monitoring and consistent performance resulting in high productivity. The R-J3iB control unit and the "easy-to-use" HandlingTool application package ensure a correct and consistent performance of the movement track.

The M-16iB is the latest handling robot with a compact design for a larger area of motion and higher speeds. This will give you more flexibility and the robot will be easily employable in limited and small spaces of the production process.

Features:
- Repetition accuracy of +/- 0.08 mm at full speed and maximum wrist weight within the complete working area.

- 20 kg wrist weight.

- Axes speeds up to 520 degrees/ sec. - highest in its category.

- "Double-jointed" arm to increase the working area and positioning flexibility.

- Absolute serial encoders rule out calibration after start-up.

Reliability features:
- Protected bearings and driving gears and brushless AC motors reduce maintenance to a minimum.

- Lubrication points on all axes for fast and easy maintenance.

- Direct driving gears for greater reliability.

- All motors, cables and terminals are designed to limit damages, sprays and other risks to a minimum.

- Dust and water resistant design increase the lifespan.

- Cable connections for rapid-coupling robot.

- The "In-line" wrist design simplifies the complexity and eliminates adjustments to the gear wheel transmissions.

Advantages:
- The largest working area and load capacity in its category, allows applications in a broad range of high-speed and medium-range wrist loading operations or processes.

- No robot adjustments required for upright, overturned, wall or corner mounting.

- Unique hollow RV-Reducers for easier routing of the cables.

- The small footprint enables positioning in limited and small installations.

- The small arm mass and solide construction result in high speeds and precision.

- Assigned pneumatic and electric (8 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs) connecting points to the J3 axis for simple integration of the "Tooling".

- "Material handling teach pendant" with large LCD screen and ergonomic design for intuitive monitoring of the process.

- "Fail-safe" brakes on all axes to increase safety, functionality and monitoring.

Options:
- 360° axis 1 basic rotation.

- Dust and humid protection package for applications in extreme environments (standard M-16iB wrist is IP67 temporarily immersing in a liquid).

- The "i-Pendant" is a colour screen, internet-ready and user-friendly operating panel enabling even easier programming.

- External axes packages for integration of positioning devices.

- Various robot cable lengths are available for a more flexible integration of the control unit, including the possibility of integration in a "rail track".
