Last week, Dulasta Metaalbewerking in Staphorst received the visit of Queen Beatrix. "We were very proud when the mayor of Staphorst told us that province and municipality had chosen us," says Bennie Dunnink of Dulasta, one day after the royal visit.
Staphorst
Last Wednesday, Beatrix visited Overijssel as part of the tour for her 25th anniversary on the throne, and Staphorst was one of the places the queen visited.
Dulasta Metaalbewerking was one of the lucky ones, according to Dunnink. All in all the queen's visit lasted fifteen minutes, but in these fifteen minutes she visited all departments. All the machines, such as the folding machines and the welding robots, were running. It was obvious she had a more in-depth knowledge of a metal working company, and she was very interested. With great interest she looked at one of our spearheads, robotised welding, wearing a welding mask of course, according to an enthusiastic Dunnink.
Dulasta is being managed by founder and director Klaas Dunnink. His two sons, Bennie and Harm, are respectively directing the work preparation section and the workshop. Eighteen years ago, Klaas Dunnink founded the company and the company currently employs 40 collaborators. Our company is a Staphorst company, a family enterprise in the middle of the community, and we started and grew during the reign of Beatrix. According to Bennie, these are the main reasons for the royal visit.
The company is specialised in heavy sheet iron work, that is cutting, trimming and folding (folding machine 8,000 mm; 1,000 tons). In addition, the company has a welding section with various welding robots, suitable to weld larger series of recurring components.
