The applied Panasonic 300 WX3 Mix-Tig power source makes use of a double inverter control, offering the following methods:
AC TIG
• Very stable welding arc both for high and low currents;
• Fast IGBT transistor technology
• AC square-wave without high-frequent currents between welding;
• 3 types AC-wave: AC Standard, AC Soft and AC Hard


MIX TIG
• alternative AC and DC between welding of aluminium;
• better cleaning operation
• deeper burning-in at equal heat-input
• equal burning-in at less energy (metallurgic advantage)
• less stress on the electrode
• unique for Panasonic

DC TIG
• Very stable arc ignition within 0.001 sec., mainly important for robot welding;
• IGBT technology also guarantees less noise during ignition and welding;
PULSE TIG
• Low Pulse Control: 0.5 – 25 Hz for uniform penetration, different material thickness, various materials and simple wire feeding;
• Middle Pulse Control: 10 – 500 Hz for thin plates at higher speeds, purer melting bath at high speeds and easy corner joints;

• Adjustable cleaning operation arc

Safety
• Warnings for fluctuating supply voltage and too high temperatures, too high input-current and output-voltage and too low cool water level for the welding torch
• Prevention of electrocution with DC electrode welding
