Panasonic introduces new generation welding robots

Panasonic developed a new generation welding robots and call it the TM-series.
This new generation robots from Panasonic are characterized mainly by the higher displacement speed, while the acceleration and deceleration has also increased, making the robot programs finishing more quickly.

By applying new control techniques of the measuring system, also a higher positioning and path accuracy is obtained. The speed of movement of the three main axes of the robot has increased by 22%. With this robot you also have the possibility of wire feed through the hollow robot arm or through a hybrid application: the power and water cables are guided through the hollow shaft, but the wire feed goes externally, this to achieve a superior wire feeding.

The new TM-series shows some other new improvements. The TM-series has a clean cable management which ensures that the wiring of the robot is much more flexible. The wire supply can even be carried out centrally by the first axis of the robot, which means no external cables outside of the robots. The reach of the TM-1400 is 50 mm more than its popular predecessor, the TA-1400.

The TM-series is available in the G3, WG3 and WGH3-series. The G3-series is suitable for handling applications or welding with an external power source. The WG3-series includes an 350 amp integrated power source and the WGH3-series is equipped with a 450 Amp integrated power source. The robot line contains the TM-1400 and TM-1800. The TL-1800 and TL-2000 will also be available as new robot models, for those models the three main axes are equal to the TM-1800, and the three wrist-axis, in terms of design, corresponding to the popular TA-series.
